GECA’s team had the chance to have a full tour of the feuille d’Érable Charbonnerie Ancestrale production plant on May 9 th, 2022. This plant produces wood charcoal, biochar and pre-dry pre-packed fire wood since 1955 at Ate-Christine d’Auvergne in Quebec, Canada.

GECA have just studied the producing process of Feuille d’Érable Charbonnerie Ancestrale for optimisation. As a result, the business has put on the market, the co-product of the BBQ wood charcoal production, the biochar. This product was considered a waste for several decades!
