Our CEO, Dr Suzanne Allaire was received as an invited speaker on Thursday June 1st to the webinar organized by Christian Wurzer with the series about biochar. This is international webinar offered on a regularly basis. People were present from at least 15 countries during this webinar. She presented about biocoal for the iron ore industry in Quebec, Canada.
Biocoal is a renewable fuel made from biomass. Dr Allaire has worked alongside the Quebec iron ore industry to develop the right product and support technology developers for this product. Biocoal reduces carbon emissions by displacing fossil coal, utilizes waste, and creates economic opportunities. Challenges include biomass availability, production scalability, and financier interests. Biocoal will be used at large by a greener sustainable iron ore industry.
